A) Company Secretary Parent Support Link (PSL) is a Hampshire wide Charity that supports and informs the Family and Friends of people who use drugs and / or alcohol. The charity has been established since 1994, based in Southampton and provides a service throughout Hampshire. The service offers a 24/7 telephone support service as well as face to face support sessions and monthly support groups. The organisation employs 6 staff, has 6 volunteer workers and is governed by a voluntary management committee. PSL is currently looking for someone to take the role of Company Secretary and to join the Management Committee.
The Company Secretary will be expected to attend quarterly meetings one of which is the AGM as well as occasional extraordinary meetings.
Responsibilities include informing all committee members of upcoming meetings as well as agreeing agendas and the distribution of regular reports.
You will need to:
be willing to work as part of a team
have time to commit to supporting the Charity
have some organisation and administration skills
an understanding of role of Company Secretary
Although these skills and experience are preferable Parent Support Link is able to provide relevant training if required.
B) Volunteer telephone operator
Parent Support Link offers a 24/7 telephone contact line, to support and inform the family and friends of people who use drugs and alcohol.
The line is operated on a rota system and we are looking for people, who after training are able to offer some time to help us provide this valuable service.
